For twenty years I built companies. Across nine countries. Raised, deployed and spent over $150 million. Employed thousands of people. Served in the British Parachute Regiment before any of it. On paper, I had built everything I was supposed to want.<\/p><\/div><\/section>

And I was a mess.\n\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I had the anxiety. The sleepless nights. The relationships I kept blowing up without understanding why. The decisions I\u2019d make at 2am that I couldn\u2019t stand by at 9am. The anger I couldn\u2019t always control. The version of me my family got at the end of a hard week that wasn\u2019t the version I wanted to be. I did the therapy. I did the breathwork. I did the silent retreats and the cold plunges and the books and the podcasts. Some of it helped, none of it stuck. I kept ending up back at the same place \u2014 running on a brain I had never been taught how to use.<\/p>

That\u2019s the part nobody tells you. You go through school. You go through university. You go through your career. And at no point does anyone sit you down and teach you how to think. How to make a decision. How to solve a problem. How your mind actually processes stress. You\u2019re handed an instrument worth more than any business you\u2019ll ever build, and nobody hands you the manual.<\/p>

So I burnt out. Properly. The kind of burnout where the wheels come off and you can\u2019t pretend any more.<\/p>

What I found on the other side wasn\u2019t a recovery story or a wellness pivot. It was the realisation that the same systems thinking I\u2019d been using to build companies \u2014 break the problem down, find the actual mechanism, fix the root cause \u2014 nobody had ever applied to the human mind in a way that an ordinary person could actually use. There was therapy. There was philosophy. There was self-help. But there was no curriculum. No teachable, measurable, structured way of learning the basic cognitive skills that should have been taught to all of us at twelve years old.<\/p><\/div><\/section>

Since August 2025, over 750 people have been through the Human Tools Experience. An internal study of 253 of them measured an average effect size of 3.0 \u2014 outcomes that exceed what most individual therapy produces over months or years, delivered in five days. 100% recommend it.<\/p>

But I\u2019m not the polished version of this. I still catch myself in the same thinking errors I teach people to spot. I still default to intensity when patience would serve me better. I still get it wrong with the people I love most. The difference now is I have the tools to catch it, name it, and choose differently. That\u2019s what Human Tools is. Not a transformation. Not a guru system. A set of cognitive skills you can learn in five days and use for the rest of your life.<\/p>
